Climate Change Action Africa (CCAA), a youth-led initiative originating from the global south, acknowledges the profound toll that climate change has exacted on this region. Emphasizing the unique challenges faced by the global south, CCAA recognizes the youth as catalysts for innovation in crafting solutions to the climate crisis.
Established in March 2018, CCAA has rapidly expanded its reach and continues to amplify its influence. Born out of a shared commitment to addressing the severe impacts of climate change, CCAA operates with the belief that the youth possess the untapped potential to drive transformative change.
Through establishing climate action clubs in schools, annual science fairs, and ongoing support for solution implementation, CCAA is inspiring innovation and creating a community of empowered youth committed to making a tangible impact on the global fight against climate change.
Mission
With climate change already causing disruptions, knowledge equips communities to adapt and build resilience. This could involve learning about drought-resistant crops for farmers, flood preparedness measures for coastal communities, or even innovative ways to conserve water in arid regions.
